III. KÉZ A KÉZBEN - HELPING HANDS & HISTORICA HUNGARIA

Event in the spirit of integration and tolerance

In cooperation with the Foundation Velo Alapítvány (www.velotanya.hu) and with the goal to give integration and tolerance a cultural forum, we organize after the successful events of 2008 and 2009 the 14^th August 2010, at Vácrátót, on the Ranch Velo Tanya the III. KÉZ A KÉZBEN – HELPING HANDS & HISTORICA HUNGARIA (www.kez-a-kezben.gportal.hu) open-air event.

The poster of the event will be again the winning work of the spring’s painting competition. This year the competition is not only open to pupils of the Petőfi Sándor School of Vácrátót, but as well to members of associations working with disabled people. The winner - as well as the 2. and 3. place - will get a certificate and a special prize. All works will be presented on the web-site of the event. During the event we will have an exposition of the works at the location – and perhaps later on several other locations, too.

Our most important goal is, that Vácrátót will be now and in the future an event-location, where everybody has free entrance and where disabled persons and those originating from minorities can exhibit their works of high quality and take part in the shows and performances, as well as everybody else, who supports the spirit of the event by taking part in it.

We point out, that we don’t charge exhibitors with place-fee or other payments and that all participants – even the professional – don’t get any royalties, supporting also in this way the spirit of the event.

After the official opening projected for 11 am., the event will starts on the Ranch Velo tanya with several shows, exhibitions, productions. The spectators will be entertained by wheelchair-dancers, sign-dancers, falconers, archers, blind-guiding dogs, hussars, folk-dancers and artistic ensembles, there will be exhibitions of hand-craft and arts, interactive playhouse, face-painting, etc.

This year we wish to point out the international aim of the event, for this we have taken/will take contact with several European organizations, groups.

During the dinner break live music will entertain everybody.

Everybody might try out his knowledge participating in a quiz, the winner, as well as the 2. and 3. place will get a special prize.

This year we wish to entertain our visitors with some scenes of the historic play, as well as a Musical-Mix of about 1 hour duration, performed by well-known musical-stars.

The location is barrier-free, on demand we offer a free microbus service between the railway stop and the location.

For the deaf we will have a sign-translator.

For the blind there will be aides to support them at the location.

We also offer free dinner to those, taking part in the event or volunteering.

As in the last years, we wish to offer a small gift to each participant and volunteer, a memory DVD and -card with the motto of the year’s event, as well as a calendar with photographs taken at the event.
